After failing to wake up early the other day, I have made it to work on the bike two days straight. Throw in Friday (three’s a charm) and I should be on my way to establishing a routine. Monday will be the true test — to see if I can pick it up again after a weekend rest.
Below are some stats from the ride:
- 10.68 miles door to door
- 40 minutes 1 second
- 15.9 average miles per hour
- 27.5 maximum miles per hour
Starting tomorrow I am going to cut over to Market St. from St. Elmo Avenue (probably at the BOA). It will add about a half mile to the trip, but there is too much traffic on Broad St. at 8:00 AM. You would think, with two lanes to choose from, that people in large vehicles would have enough sense to use the left one — like the Aramark step van that almost squished me into a telephone pole.
