Somehow i forgot about this blog of yours (I think I thought you had abandoned it) and am just now catching up on all these posts.
Anyhow, if we should ever have children, this is exactly why I would be hesitant to do the Santa thing. I’m curious what your answers were (if you remember now, almost 4 months later).
It often seems that parents put more effort into convincing their children that Santa is real than they do the same for Jesus. And then when questions like these come up, if the parent wants to preserve the ‘innocence’ and keep the story alive, they choose to lie. Eventually, the kid realizes the truth and in some way must question whether all the stuff about Jesus is false too.
