They're oak trees that used to be part of a dense canopy. They are tall, thin and don't offer a lot of shade benefit. The neighbor is worried that one of them might fall on the houses, kind of like our right neighbor's tree did last summer. The part I'm not okay with is that they sit right on the property line, so he wants to split the cost. It's fair, but I'm just not happy about having to cut down trees that either one of the builders should have taken care of when the cleared the lots. I’m mostly okay with it.
